It all started February 27, 1981 ...

Joshua Winslow Groban is the by product of Jack and Lindy Groban of Los Angeles, California.  Josh and his brother Chris were raised in a very loving, very open and musical household.  They were a close-knit family and to this day they still are that way, you will often find Josh on tour, his family at his side.

As a young man, Josh was shy and reserved but as his mother found out by accident one day, not shy on talent.  She was standing outside the school auditorium when Josh was performing and heard a voice, when she discovered that the beautiful sound she heard was that of her own son she wept with pride.  In 1997 Josh attended the famed Interlochen Arts camp and thus began the extensive training that formed the now perfected, rich baritone that entrances the hearts of millions.

Josh's career came to life at the tender age of 17 as his vocal teacher, Seth Riggs sent a tape of Josh to David Foster and the rest, as they say -- is history.  Josh was invited to sing at the inaguration of California governor Gray Davis and then, when Andrea Bocelli was unavailable to attend rehearsals for the 1999 Grammies Josh took his place and sang "The Prayer" with Celine Dion.  Bocelli made it to the show and Josh did not perform at that time but didn't go unnoticed.

After the release of his first self-titled album featuring the ever popular song, To Where You Are Josh has become a singing sensation.  His sophomore album, Closer turned out to be even better with Josh writing two of the songs and having a hand in the production of the creation.

Josh's third album was released on November 7th, 2006 and he has called it Awake.   Josh was worried to some degree that his long-time fans wouldn't be as open to the 'new' style that he puts forth in his newest creation but the overwhelming positive response cannot be denied.  He combines old world Italian and Spanish typical Josh with new style English songs such as Now or Never, February Song, and Machine which not only features Herbie Hancock but the bold brass of Tower of Power.  Right at the moment Josh is gearing up for a world tour kicking off in February.  Be sure to check him out!  You won't be disappointed!
