Chapter 1

Toni Anna was on her way out of a town that she lived in all her life and away from a family she could not stand. Her father was the head of crime family and her mother was the wife of the head of the crime family. She had every thing she ever wanted except for a normal life. The only person she loved dear was her brother Michael, he was two years younger than her, and she always looked out for him now that he was eighteen there was no need for her to stay. Michael made his mind up not to follow in his fathers steps. Earlier in the day Toni went to the bank and with drew every cent she had, she packed only what she really needed and put it in her car, She had no clue were to go or what she would do but anything would be better than living among killers, cats and thieves. She opens the map on her bed and closed her eyes and points, when finger landed is when she would open her eyes. When she did the map said Far Point Bay. That’s it, my new home Far Point Bay. She waited for her parents to leave to go to Michaels Godparent’s house; she didn’t have to worry about Michael he was off at school. She left a note were she know they would find it.

Dear Mom & Dad,

I love you very much, but this not the life I want. The life and the business you have is not what I want to be a part of. Please do not try to find me you will be wasting you time.

Love you always,

Toni Anna

When her parents came back, Anthony read her letter, tears started to fall from her mother’s eyes. Her baby girl is gone.

Anthony this is all you fault? Elda said.

How is this my fault? I gave her every thing she ever wanted. Anthony said to her pacing the room.

Everything but what a real father should do. Did you ever go to one of her school concerts or did you ever just try talking to her. You were always busy with your life.

But Elda you knew what I was when you married me, Anthony stop pacing and just stared at his wife of almost 30 years.

How many chances you had to stop but never did?

Anthony said down at his desk reading over and over again the letter Toni wrote. This is the life we chose this is the life we lead. He thought to himself. He decided not to have anyone look for Toni Anna, when the time is right Toni Anna would be back.

Toni Anna drove for hours, she finally hit Far Point Bay at two in the morning. The town was quiet almost like a ghost town. She pull into the police stations lot, hopefully someone would be able to tell her were to get something to eat and were to stay. When she walked in she saw three good-looking men standing in the hall way talking. The tall brown hair man saw Toni first, She wasn’t like the others girls on the island, she wore blue jeans with black heeled boots, her shirt was a dark blue tight fitting, with a long black sweater that open in the front with fur on the collar.

Hey guys check her out! Bruno said to Paul and Steve.

Look she is coming this way there is a God! Steve said smiling.

Hello there, I was wondering if you could help me out. I am really new here and I wanted to know were there was a dinner open this late and if there was a hotel around here. I figure you would know seeing how you are a cop! Toni said to Paul who was still in his uniform.

Sure, we could tell you. Steve jumped in before Paul got a chance to even open his mouth.

Thanks! Toni couldn’t help but see how stunning Steve’s eyes were.
There is a dinner called Island cafe right down the road and as fare as a hotel its right next to the cafe,

Thank you so much, she said before she turned to go.

By the way what is your name? Paul asked.

Mine why do you want to know?

Well, this is a small town and everyone knows everyone here, beside Steve here wants to know? Paul started to laugh as he got Steve back for not letting him talk.
